Bringing people together around shared emotions has always been one of theatre’s great strengths. In Spa, this purpose is fully realized: the audience becomes a true community — and that is something worth firmly defending.

For several years now, the Royal Festival has shown that it is entirely possible to gather a large audience in a small rural town, rich in both natural and built heritage. It is a cultural, touristic, and heritage-driven vision that we intend to pursue and develop further.

With 96% occupancy across venues and outdoor spaces, and nearly 16,000 spectators welcomed, this year’s edition clearly convinced its audience.

In 2026, the return of circus tents will allow the festival to open up even more to new audiences.
